Meet the Team

Alyssa Bastianelli
Vice President/Co-Founder

My name is Alyssa. I have lived in Manitowoc most of my life. I enjoy working my part time position at a local homeless shelter in Manitowoc County.

I enjoy the simple things in life, and love spending time with the people I love and meeting new people.

I have always thought there was a need in Manitowoc for more resources for women's housing. I decided to direct my efforts to hopefully, make a difference in the lives of women who need guidance for a chance at a  better, brighter future.

My hope is that White Dove Women's Shelter & Ministries can become a staple and valuable resource for Manitowoc County by changing lives in several ways!

Mindy Botchuck
President/Co-Founder/Minister

I received my Associate Degree in Divinity from Christian Leaders Institute in November 2022 and will have my Bachelors by the end of November 2024. I am also completing a Diploma in Business Administration.

I believe that women can achieve wonderful things if they are given the resources, and they have support and friendship of those who are close to them. For this reason, we are starting White Dove Women's Shelter & Ministries.

Jesus tells us, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another". John 13:34-35

I believe that we are to help each other-this is my mission. God bless you.

Angela Worthman
Secretary/Co-Founder

Hello, I am Angela,. I am a mother of 3 and grandmother of 2 wonderful children.

I moved from Indiana to Wisconsin in 2013.

Outside of my full time store managerial position, I love to spend time with my children and grandchildren, absorbing the serenity and beauty of our lake shore, snapping nature photos as well as reading fiction.

In 2014 I became homeless. I could not give up as I had 3 children looking to me to make our life better. I struggled, I cried, and I felt like giving up, but I found the will to strengthen my life. I became more confident, independent, and financially stable.

My hope on this journey, is to make an impact on the women I meet who are struggling to find the confidence and correct outlets to make a better, more independent life for themselves.

Glenda McConnell, PMHNP, BC (Primary Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified)
Mental Health Chair

I have dedicated my life to serving my patients, especially foster children and at-risk youth. These children hold a special place in my heart. I can relate to my patients because, like them, I have lived through many hardships and have been healed.

Throughout my career, I have served on many committees and boards with the goals of furthering patient care and bettering the mental health system.

I am the matriarch of a large extended family. My husband Frank has been a real source of support for me throughout our 32-year marriage. His support has helped me to exceed educationally as well as professionally.

I look forward to helping the women of White Dove Women's Shelter!

Psalm 139:14 -I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
